On July 9, USSH held a degree-granting ceremony for 46 new doctors of 16 majors.

On behalf of the University's leaders, Rector Pham Quang Minh sent greetings and congratulations to 46 new doctors. Acquiring a doctoral degree will be a stepping stone for the new doctors to engage in further research in their respective fields. The Rector hoped the University will continue to be a destination for them to continue their academic journey.

The doctoral candidates majored in Journalism, Ho Chi Minh Studies, Ethnology, History of the Vietnamese Communist Party, History of Vietnam, Sino-Nom, Archival Science, Contrastive - Comparative Linguistics, Scientific socialism, Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism,  Literary Theories, Science and Technology Management, Chinese Studies, Psychology, Vietnamese Literature, and Sociology.

In addition, the Office for Student Affairs announced decision No. 1146QD/XHNV dated July 6, 2020 honoring 04 distinguished candidates of the first batch in 2020: Vu Viet Bang (majoring in Han Nom), Do Duy Tu (majoring in Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism), Nguyen Anh Tuan (majoring in Chinese studies), Le Thi Thuy Binh (majoring in Ho Chi Minh studies).
