The Prime Ministers of Vietnam - Singapore inspire students to strive forward

On the occasion, VNU students expressed their interest in Singapore's policy on education, science, technology and innovation; digital economy - green economy partnership between the two countries; valuable experiences and lessons on the path of learning and training to the success of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong; policies to promote cooperation between Singapore and Vietnamese universities, especially in some areas of research, innovation, and artificial intelligence; expectations of leaders with the young generation… Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said that Singapore is making efforts so that people can travel by public transport, reducing personal vehicles. It is a way to reduce environmental pollution. But what is more important is the behavior of people with the environment.
Mr. Lee Hsien Loong shared that in Singapore, there are many campaigns to remind people to respect the principles of protecting the living environment. This is also applied to students' education in schools. Preserving the environment is reflected in the realistic activities of the youth, such as planting trees, taking care of daily watering, or designing with their families the living environment in a green and clean home system... However, there are existing global problems, such as global warming and climate change. Singapore is trying to contribute responsibly through specific activities and promoting cooperation with other countries.
Vu Thu Hang (A student of University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi), asked: "What standards of knowledge and skills do we need to meet the current human resource requirements in the context of artificial intelligence heavy development?".
Mr. Lee Hsien Loong said that the core principle is that young people need to study well, master the expertise of their chosen fields of study and never stop learning more because the world will always change. What is also of great importance is knowledge and skills, perseverance, resilience, and mental preparation to embrace future developments and changes.
Opportunities for young people of the two countries to exchange, study and work
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the visit of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to Hanoi National University is important, creating motivation to promote educational and training cooperation between the two countries while creating opportunities for students. Members interacted, interacted and increased their understanding of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore. Mr. Lee Hsien Loong reminded students that resources originate from thoughts, motivation originates from innovation, creativity originates from culture and strength originates from the people. He hopes that young people will continue to contribute, study, and cultivate morality, knowledge, as well as passion and responsibility for their homeland and their people. At the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam is paying more attention to the field of digital transformation and green transformation. In particular, the solution to combating climate change as a global crisis is that everyone must acknowledge this seriously. This also requires global cooperation and deeper relations with Singapore - a country with a lot of experience in these fields. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that during his visit to Singapore, the two governments signed a cooperation agreement on digital transformation and green transformation. Specifically, cooperation related to Singapore's database infrastructure and experience in digital management. Regarding green transformation, the two countries will cooperate in maximizing the green energy utility and renewable energy, such as from sun and wind, which are Vietnam's advantages. But in order to utilize it to the fullest, it will require technology, financial and human resources, and administrative capacity... Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that this is a strategic cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore in the near future.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong commented that the cooperation agreement between Singapore's higher education institutions and Hanoi National University is a condition for implementing education, training, research, and staff and student exchange projects along with developing the digital economy - green economy.
Mr. Lee Hsien Loong said: Cooperation between the two countries must come from both ways. This is the legal basis, creating favorable conditions for young people of the two countries to study, work, and encourage talents, entrepreneurs, and scientists to participate to achieve the goal of cooperation that the two countries have agreed upon.   On this occasion, under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, VNU Hanoi, VNU-HCM. Ho Chi Minh City and Nanyang Technological University (NTU - Singapore) signed a cooperation agreement between the universities in the field of exchange of staff, lecturers, students, and scientific research.
Following that, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had an intimate lunch time with students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi at the canteen of the University of Foreign Languages (VNU). Here, the two Prime Ministers enjoyed famous traditional Vietnamese dishes, such as bánh cuốn chả, bún thang, Hanoi spring rolls, cốm… Students of Hanoi National University introduced to Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong beautiful cuisine, and the cultural values of Vietnam through the signature dishes of our beloved country.
