• Mục đích và đối tượng nghiên cứu của luận án

- Mục đích nghiên cứu: Xác định và phân tích các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh tại tỉnh Khánh Hòa, từ đó đề xuất các hàm ý chính sách nhằm thúc đẩy quá trình xây dựng và phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh một cách hiệu quả và bền vững.

- Đối tượng nghiên cứu: các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh.

• Các phương pháp nghiên cứu đã sử dụng

Nghiên cứu sử dụng cả dữ liệu thứ cấp và sơ cấp. Dữ liệu thứ cấp được thu thập từ các văn bản định hướng, thống kê và báo cáo nghiên cứu liên quan đến phát triển du lịch thông minh. Dữ liệu sơ cấp được thu thập thông qua bảng hỏi khảo sát và phỏng vấn. Về xử lý dữ liệu, nghiên cứu kết hợp phương pháp định tính và định lượng. Định tính được áp dụng trong tổng quan tài liệu, trắc lượng thư mục, phỏng vấn chuyên gia và phỏng vấn nhóm nhằm xây dựng, bổ sung mô hình và thang đo. Định lượng gồm hai giai đoạn: sơ bộ (kiểm định độ tin cậy Cronbach’s Alpha, phân tích nhân tố khám phá EFA) và chính thức (tiếp tục kiểm định Cronbach’s Alpha, EFA, phân tích nhân tố khẳng định CFA và mô hình cấu trúc tuyến tính SEM để kiểm định giả thuyết).

Về lý luận, luận án đã hệ thống hóa và làm rõ khái niệm, các thành phần của điểm đến du lịch thông minh. Trên cơ sở tổng quan tài liệu, nghiên cứu đã xây dựng mô hình lý thuyết gồm 10 yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh, được chia thành hai nhóm: các yếu tố nội tại  và các yếu tố ngoại sinh 

Về phương pháp luận, luận án đã xây dựng và kiểm định thang đo cho các yếu tố và khái niệm liên quan. Các thang đo được hiệu chỉnh phù hợp với bối cảnh du lịch Khánh Hòa, trong đó bổ sung một số chỉ báo mới có ý nghĩa thực tiễn cao.

Về thực tiễn, kết quả kiểm định mô hình cho thấy 9/10 yếu tố có ảnh hưởng tích cực đến phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh từ đó, luận án đưa ra các khuyến nghị cụ thể nhằm thúc đẩy phát triển du lịch thông minh tại Khánh Hòa – một địa phương có nhiều điều kiện thuận lợi và đang trong giai đoạn chuyển đổi số mạnh mẽ.

Về điểm mới, luận án không chỉ đề xuất và kiểm định mô hình lý thuyết phù hợp với bối cảnh địa phương, mà còn góp phần cụ thể hóa các yếu tố ảnh hưởng trong điều kiện của một điểm đến ven biển đang phát triển. Đặc biệt, luận án tiếp cận từ góc nhìn phát triển bền vững, nhấn mạnh vai trò tương tác giữa các thành phần trong phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh bền vững.

Đóng góp về mặt lý luận

Thứ nhất, luận án đã hệ thống hóa, kế thừa và phát triển các lý thuyết nền tảng có liên quan từ đó đề xuất một mô hình tích hợp nghiên cứu các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh trong bối cảnh cụ thể của tỉnh Khánh Hòa. 

Thứ hai, trên cơ sở tổng quan tài liệu trong và ngoài nước, luận án đã xác định và phân nhóm một cách hệ thống 10 yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh 

Thứ ba, luận án đã xây dựng, hiệu chỉnh và kiểm định bộ thang đo các khái niệm chính liên quan đến phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh. Một số chỉ báo mới đã được đề xuất và bổ sung. Đây là đóng góp có ý nghĩa trong việc chuẩn hóa hệ thống đo lường, giúp các nhà nghiên cứu sau này có cơ sở để tiếp tục thực hiện các nghiên cứu định lượng, so sánh, hoặc mở rộng phạm vi nghiên cứu về du lịch thông minh tại các địa phương khác.

Đóng góp về mặt thực tiễn

Thứ nhất, kết quả nghiên cứu giúp nhận diện một cách rõ ràng các yếu tố then chốt có ảnh hưởng đến quá trình phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh tại địa phương. Thông qua mô hình nghiên cứu đề xuất, các nhà quản lý và nhà hoạch định chính sách có thể xác định được đâu là các yếu tố nội tại cần được đầu tư, củng cố và đâu là các yếu tố bên ngoài cần được liên kết, khai thác hiệu quả nhằm tạo ra hệ sinh thái du lịch thông minh bền vững và phù hợp với điều kiện thực tế.

Thứ hai, các thang đo và chỉ báo thực tiễn do luận án xây dựng và kiểm định không chỉ có giá trị trong khuôn khổ nghiên cứu mà còn có thể được sử dụng như công cụ đánh giá, đo lường mức độ phát triển du lịch thông minh tại các điểm đến khác trong và ngoài tỉnh. Từ đó, giúp xây dựng bộ tiêu chí hỗ trợ công tác đánh giá, giám sát và lập kế hoạch trong quá trình triển khai các chính sách phát triển du lịch thông minh tại địa phương trong tương lai.

Thứ ba, các phát hiện từ luận án góp phần cung cấp dữ liệu và bằng chứng khoa học phục vụ quá trình tư vấn chính sách, xây dựng chiến lược phát triển du lịch của tỉnh Khánh Hòa trong giai đoạn tới, đặc biệt trong bối cảnh chuyển đổi số đang là xu hướng tất yếu.

Kết luận

Về tổng thể, luận án đã đạt được các mục tiêu nghiên cứu và có những đóng góp nhất định về mặt lý thuyết và thực tiễn. Kết quả nghiên cứu xác định có 9/10 yếu tố có ảnh hưởng tích cực đến phát triển điểm đến du lịch thông minh tại Khánh Hoà.

12. Các hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo:

- Xây dựng bộ tiêu chí để đo lường mức độ thông minh của điểm đến 

- Nghiên cứu tiếp theo có thể mở rộng ra các bối cảnh/địa phương khác trên cả nước; hoặc bằng cách thực hiện một nghiên cứu khảo sát cùng lúc 2 nhóm đối tượng khách du lịch và cư dân đã từng trải nghiệm và chưa từng trải nghiệm du lịch thông minh để đề xuất các giải pháp cụ thể đối với từng nhóm đối tượng. 

- Tập trung vào việc so sánh định lượng mức độ ảnh hưởng giữa hai nhóm yếu tố này, thông qua các phương pháp như phân tích đa nhóm (multi-group analysis) hoặc phân tích mô hình cấu trúc phân tầng. Kết quả của các nghiên cứu này sẽ cung cấp thêm bằng chứng khoa học để xác định nhóm yếu tố nào cần được ưu tiên đầu tư và phát triển trong từng giai đoạn và điều kiện cụ thể của điểm đến.

• Purpose and research focus of the dissertation

- Purpose: To identify and analyze the factors that influence the development of smart tourism destinations in Khanh Hoa Province, thereby proposing policy implications to promote the effective and sustainable development of smart tourism destinations.

- Research focus: Factors that influence the development of smart tourism destinations.

• Research methodology

The research utilizes both secondary and primary data. Secondary data were collected from orientation documents, statistics, and research reports related to smart tourism development. Primary data were collected through survey questionnaires and interviews. For data processing, the research combines qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods were applied in literature review, bibliometric analysis, expert interviews, and group interviews to develop and refine the model and measurement scales. Quantitative methods included two stages: preliminary (testing Cronbach's alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA)) and formal (further testing Cronbach’s Alpha, EFA, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test hypotheses).

• Key findings, new contributions and conclusions

• Key findings

Theoretically, the dissertation systematized and clarified the concept and components of a smart tourism destination. Based on the literature review, the research developed a theoretical model comprising 10 factors that influence the development of smart tourism destinations, categorized into two groups: internal and external factors. 

In terms of methodology, the dissertation developed and validated measurement scales for the relevant factors and concepts. The scales were adjusted to fit the context of Khanh Hoa tourism, incorporating new indicators of significant practical value.

Practically, the model validation results indicated that 9 out of the 10 factors positively influence the development of smart tourism destinations. Consequently, the dissertation provides specific recommendations to promote smart tourism development in Khanh Hoa – a locality with many favorable conditions and currently undergoing strong digital transformation.

In terms of novelty, the dissertation not only proposed and validated a theoretical model that fits the local context but also contributed to concretizing the influencing factors within the conditions of a developing coastal destination. Particularly, the dissertation approached the topic from a sustainable development perspective, emphasizing the role of interaction among components in sustainable development of smart tourism destinations.

• New contributions

Theoretical contributions

Firstly, the dissertation systematized, inherited, and developed relevant foundational theories, thereby proposing an integrated model to study the factors that influence the development of smart tourism destinations within the specific context of Khanh Hoa Province. 

Secondly, based on a review of domestic and international literature, the dissertation systematically identified and categorized 10 factors that influence the development of smart tourism destinations. 

 Thirdly, the dissertation developed, adjusted, and validated the measurement scales for key concepts related to the development of smart tourism destinations. Several new indicators were proposed and supplemented. This is a significant contribution to standardizing the measurement system, laying the groundwork for future researchers to conduct further quantitative, comparative, or expanded the scope of research on smart tourism in other localities.

Practical Contributions

Firstly, the findings help clearly identify the key factors that influence the development of smart tourism destinations in the locality. Through the proposed model, managers and policymakers can determine which internal factors need investment and reinforcement, as well as which external factors should be effectively linked and leveraged to create a sustainable smart tourism ecosystem tailored to local conditions.

Secondly, the practical scales and indicators developed and validated by the study are not only valuable within the study framework but can also serve as assessment tools to measure the level of smart tourism development in other destinations, both within and outside the province. This facilitates the establishment of a criteria set to support assessment, monitoring, and planning in deploying smart tourism development policies in the locality in the future.

Thirdly, the findings from the dissertation contribute to providing data and scientific evidence for the policy consultation process, developing the tourism development strategy of Khanh Hoa Province in the coming period, especially in the context of digital transformation being an inevitable trend.

Conclusion

Overall, the dissertation achieved the research objectives and made certain theoretical and practical contributions. The research findings identified that 9 out of 10 factors positively influence the development of smart tourism destinations in Khanh Hoa.

12.  Directions for future research:

- Develop a set of criteria to measure the smartness level of a destination. 

- Future research may expand to different contexts/localities across the country, or conduct a survey study simultaneously with two groups: tourists and residents who have and have not experienced smart tourism, to propose specific solutions for each target group. 

- Focus on quantitative comparison of the level of influence between these two groups of factors, using methods such as multi-group analysis or hierarchical structure model analysis. The findings of these researches will provide further scientific evidence to determine which group of factors should be prioritized for investment and development, depending on the destination’s specific conditions and stages of growth.
