11. Tóm tắt các kết quả mới của luận án: 

Mục đích chính của Luận án là nghiên cứu, làm rõ vai trò của Báo chí giải pháp ở Việt Nam trong việc góp phần hạn chế tình trạng bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên. Để đạt được mục đích đó, luận án tập trung vào việc hệ thống hóa cơ sở lý luận, khảo sát thực trạng vấn đề trên báo chí và đề xuất các giải pháp, cách thức áp dụng Báo chí giải pháp khi phản ánh chủ đề này để nâng cao hiệu quả khi viết về vấn đề này. Đối tượng nghiên cứu của luận án là Báo chí giải pháp với vấn đề bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên ở Việt Nam. Trong luận án này, NCS đã sử dụng các phương pháp nghiên cứu tài liệu, phân tích nội dung hỗn hợp, phỏng vấn sâu và điều tra bằng bảng hỏi Alket. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, mặc dù báo chí Việt Nam đã có những nỗ lực trong việc phòng chóng vấn đề bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên nhưng vẫn còn nhiều hạn chế về số lượng, chất lượng thông tin và cách thức tiếp cận vấn đề. Báo chí trong diện khảo sát quá chú trọng vào việc tái hiện các sự kiện, mô tả chi tiết vết thương và gia cảnh của thủ phạm nhiều hơn các bài phân tích, bình luận, hay đưa ra giải pháp xây dựng... Bên cạnh đó, kết quả nghiên cứu còn cho thấy, số lượng tin bài trên các báo điện tử tương đối đồng đều, tuy nhiên lại có sự chênh lệch đáng kể so với báo in. Đặc biệt, ngay cả trong nhóm báo in Nhân Dân và Sài Gòn Phóng cũng tồn tại sự khác biệt rõ rệt về số lượng và tần suất thông tin. Về nhóm thông tin chủ trường đường lối chính sách, việc phổ biến kiến thức pháp luật liên quan đến bạo hành, chăm sóc trẻ sau bạo hành còn hạn chế về số lượng cũng như nội dung tiếp cận. Các báo trong diện khảo sát thường sử dụng nhiều cụm động từ để mô tả hành động trên các tiêu đề bài báo, tuy nhiên cách thức đặt tiêu đề và lựa chọn hình ảnh lại có sự khác biệt rõ rệt giữa các tờ báo. Cụ thể, báo Dân Trí thường sử dụng ảnh sự kiện và quan chức, trong khi báo Tuổi Trẻ tập trung vào hình trực quan về nạn nhân. Cuối cùng, khảo sát ý kiến công chúng cho thấy phản ứng của độc giả trước các thông tin về bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên là rất đa dạng. Công chúng có nhu cầu cao và thích xem các thông tin mang tính tích cực, chính xác, khách quan và hữu ích về vấn đề này hơn là các thông tin chỉ mô tả hành động phạm tội, kết quả “đắng”của kẻ thủ ác.

Luận án đã đề xuất các giải pháp nhằm nâng cao chất lượng của báo chí khi viết về bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên, bao gồm: Thực hành báo chí giải pháp để tăng tính nhân văn với các nội dung như: Thay đổi tư duy và cách khai thác thông tin về bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên; Tránh đưa tin giật gân, thiên vị và định kiến; Nội dung bài viết phải giải thích được nguyên nhân và đề xuất giải pháp; Câu chuyện phải chuyển tải được bài học, ý nghĩa sâu sắc hay tránh đưa quá nhiều thông tin tiêu cực. Bên cạnh đó, trong chương này, tác giả luận án còn đề xuất xây dựng mạng lưới hợp tác, thành lập các bộ phận chuyên nghiệp nghiên cứu công chúng, tăng cường sự phối hợp giữa các bên liên quan và đặc biệt là hình thành mạng lưới báo chí dành cho trẻ em để tạo kênh thông tin thân thiện, giúp trẻ hiểu rõ vấn đề bạo hành và bảo vệ trẻ. Luận án đã phân tích chuyên sâu, hệ thống hoá kiến thức và kinh nghiệm thực tiễn về Báo chí giải pháp, đặc biệt trong bối cảnh bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên. Từ đó, góp phần xây dựng và hoàn thiện khung lý thuyết cho lĩnh vực này. Luận án đã bổ sung, làm rõ hơn khái niệm và các đặc điểm nhận dạng Báo chí giải pháp, giúp định hình rõ ràng hơn loại báo chí này trong hệ thống lý luận báo chí, cũng như đặc điểm nhận dạng tác phẩm Báo chí giải pháp viết về bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên. Làm rõ vai trò, tiềm năng và đề xuất tiêu chí đánh giá. Những phát hiện của luận án tạo ra một nền tảng lý thuyết cơ cơ bản và toàn diện, mở ra hướng nghiên cứu mới cho các học giả trong và ngoài nước về Báo chí giải pháp và các vấn đề xã hội liên quan. Bên cạnh đó, kết quả nghiên cứu của luận án không chỉ tập trung vào vấn đề bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên mà còn gợi ý khả năng ứng dụng Báo chí giải pháp vào nhiều lĩnh vực xã hội khác. 

12. Các hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo

Việc áp dụng mô hình Báo chí giải pháp để giải quyết các vấn đề xã hội cấp thiết tại Việt Nam, điển hình là bạo hành trẻ vị thành niên, đã mở ra nhiều hướng nghiên cứu mới đầy tiềm năng. Dựa trên cơ sở đó,  các nghiên cứu tiếp theo có thể được phát triển theo hai hướng chính: Hướng nghiên cứu chuyên sâu về đánh giá tác động và hiệu quả thực tiễn của Báo chí Giải pháp (phát triển Báo chí giải pháp dựa trên mô hình đa nền tảng, năng lực nhà báo…); Hướng nghiên cứu mở rộng ứng dụng mô hình Báo chí Giải pháp hỗ trợ cho các nhóm yếu thế (Người khuyết tật, người cao tuổi cô đơn, nạn nhân của bạo lực gia đình và mua bán người…) và giải quyết các vấn đề xã hội cấp bách (Bảo vệ môi trường, biến đổi khí hậu, an toàn thực phẩm, sức khỏe tinh thần và văn hóa ứng xử trong xã hội hiện đại…)

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

The purpose of a thesis or dissertation is to investigate and clarify the role of Solutions Journalism in mitigating abuse against minors. To this end, the dissertation focuses on systematizing the theoretical framework, examining the current state of the issue in the press, and proposing solutions and practical applications of Solutions Journalism to enhance the effectiveness of reporting on this topic. The research subject of the thesis is a dissertation that investigates the use of Solutions Journalism in addressing the issue of abuse against minors in Vietnam. The study employed several research methods, including documentary analysis, mixed-methods content analysis, in-depth interviews, and questionnaire surveys. The research results show that although Vietnamese journalism has made efforts to prevent abuse against minors, there are still many limitations in the quantity and quality of information, and the approaches to the issue. The surveyed press has focused excessively on recounting events and providing graphic descriptions of injuries and the perpetrators' family backgrounds, rather than offering analysis, commentary, or constructive solutions. Additionally, the findings indicate that while the number of articles on this topic in online newspapers is relatively consistent, there is a significant disparity compared to print newspapers. Notably, even within the print newspaper group, Nhân Dân and Sài Gòn Giải Phóng show distinct differences in the volume and frequency of reporting. Regarding policy-related information, the dissemination of legal knowledge on abuse and post-abuse care for children remains limited in both quantity and scope. The surveyed newspapers often use many active verbs in their headlines; however, the styles of headlines and the choice of images differ markedly. Specifically, Dân Trí online often uses photos of events and officials, while Tuổi Trẻ online focuses on direct visual depictions of victims. Finally, a public opinion survey reveals that reader reactions to information about abuse against minors are very diverse. The public has a high demand for and prefers to see accurate, objective, and useful information on this issue, rather than reports that only describe criminal acts and the severe consequences for the perpetrators. The thesis has proposed solutions to improve the quality of journalism when reporting on adolescent abuse, including: practicing Solutions Journalism to enhance its humanistic aspect, with content that: changes the mindset and approach to gathering information about abuse against minors; avoids sensational, biased, and prejudiced reporting; ensures articles explain the causes and propose solutions; and crafts stories that convey meaningful lessons while avoiding excessive negative information. Furthermore, in this chapter, the thesis also proposes building a cooperation network, establishing professional departments for audience research, strengthening coordination among relevant parties, and, in particular, forming a media network for minors to create a friendly information channel, helping them understand the issue of abuse and how to protect themselves.

The thesis provides an in-depth analysis and systematization of theoretical knowledge and practical experience regarding Solutions Journalism, particularly in the context of abuse against minors. In doing so, it contributes to building and refining the theoretical framework for this field. The thesis supplements and further clarifies the concept and identifies the characteristics of Solutions Journalism, helping to define this type of journalism within journalistic theory more clearly, as well as the features of Solutions Journalism works that address abuse against minors.  It clarifies the role, potential, and proposes evaluation criteria. The findings of the thesis create a fundamental and comprehensive theoretical foundation, opening up new research avenues for both domestic and international scholars on Solutions Journalism and related social issues. Moreover, the research results are not only focused on the problem of abuse against minors but also suggest the potential for applying Solutions Journalism to many other social domains.

1. Futher research directions

The application of the Solutions Journalism model to address critical social issues in Vietnam, such as the abuse of adolescents, has unveiled promising new avenues for research. Building on this foundation, future studies can be pursued along two primary trajectories. The first focuses on in-depth research to assess the tangible impacts and practical efficacy of Solutions Journalism, including its development across multi-platform models and the enhancement of journalistic capabilities. The second trajectory involves expanding the application of the Solutions Journalism model to support vulnerable populations including individuals with disabilities, the isolated elderly, and victims of domestic violence and human trafficking and to tackle other urgent societal challenges, such as environmental protection, climate change, food safety, mental health, and the culture of conduct in contemporary society.
