11. Tóm tắt các kết quả mới của luận án:

- Luận án hệ thống hóa các nguồn tài liệu tục lệ và tiến hành khảo sát sự phân bố 85 văn bản tục lệ Hán Nôm huyện Từ Liêm theo thời gian và không gian, trong đó 82 văn bản viết trên giấy và 3 thác bản văn bia. Luận án tìm hiểu nội dung văn bản tục lệ ở từng giai đoạn, của mỗi đơn vị tổng đều thể hiện đặc trưng riêng của từng vùng đất.

- Luận án tìm hiểu đặc điểm hình thức và nội dung văn bản tục lệ, việc sửa đổi, bổ sung tục lệ và đặc trưng nghề nghiệp được phản ánh trong văn bản tục lệ. Các vấn đề được bổ sung sửa đổi nhiều nhất là chỉnh đốn phong tục trong cưới xin, tang ma, cúng tế, khao vọng và tuần phòng. Đây là những vấn đề cấp bách, được người dân địa phương quan tâm nhất.

- Luận án nghiên cứu nội dung văn bản tục lệ như tục lệ phản ánh phong tục, tập quán làng xã trong các việc cúng tế, khao vọng, cưới xin, tang ma. Huyện Từ Liêm là địa phương có truyền thống hiếu học, nhiều người học hành, đỗ đạt. Điều này được thể hiện rõ trong các lệ khuyến học, lệ biếu đãi với người đỗ khoa trường, làm quan và hoạt động của hội Tư văn.

- Luận án nêu ra giá trị "chỉnh đốn phong tục" của văn bản tục lệ. Điển hình việc mua sắm lễ vật và tổ chức cúng tế tốn kém nhiều tiền bạc, cả làng tổ chức ăn uống trong nhiều ngày, ảnh hưởng rất nhiều đến cuộc sống của người dân. Bên cạnh đó, các lệ khao vọng, cưới xin, tang ma đều quy định phải nộp nhiều lễ vật, tiền bạc cho làng xã, làm cỗ mời các hạng ăn uống, làm cho cuộc sống của người dân càng khó khăn. Vì vậy, các lệ này cũng nhiều lần được sửa đổi nhằm giảm bớt tốn kém, bỏ tục mời cả làng ăn uống lãng phí tiền bạc. Luận án tìm hiểu tục lệ trong đời sống làng xã xưa và nay, nhằm kế thừa giá trị tốt đẹp của tục lệ xưa trong việc xây dựng Quy ước văn hóa mới về cưới xin, tang ma, bài trừ tệ nạn xã hội, giữ gìn thuần phong mỹ tục...

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- The thesis systematizes written sources on customs and conducts surveys on the distribution of 85 Sino-Nom texts on customs in the district of Tu Liem, exploring their spatial and temporal distribution. Among these, there are 82 documents written on paper and 3 stele inscriptions. The thesis explores the content of these texts in consideration of their corresponding historical stages and their respective cantons, each of which shows its own characteristics.

- The thesis explores the characteristics regarding the forms, styles and content of the texts on customs, the amendments and supplements to these customs, and occupational trademarks as reflected in these documents. The issues that were revised most often were adjusting the customs related to marriage, funeral, sacrifices, promotion feasts  and local security. These were urgent issues to local communities.

- The thesis provides an in-depth study of  the main content of texts on customs, as in, customs that reflected the villages’ practices of sacrifices, promotion feasts, marriages and funerals. Tu Liem district has always been an area with an academic tradition with many examples  of studious and successful academics. This is shown through the rules related to study promotion or gift-giving to the successful test-takers and officials, as well as the activities of the Literati Association.

- The thesis gives an insight into the value of these texts as a tool for "adjusting customs". Typically, the purchase of gifts and sacrifices cost a lot of money, the whole village organized meals for many days, greatly affecting people's lives. In addition, the organizers of promotion feasts, marriages and funerals were all required to pay many gifts and money to the village, to serve food and drink to people of all classes, making life even more difficult for the people. Therefore, these rules were also modified many times to reduce costs (for example, the tradition of inviting the whole village to eat lavishly could be abandoned). The thesis explores the customs in the village life in the past and present, in order to promote the good values of the old customs in the construction of new cultural conventions on marriage and funeral, the elimination of social evils, and the protection of the fine traditions ..etc.

I will continue to study texts on customs in other localities and then compare them to find out the specific characteristics of each locality.
