Summary of Thesis Outcomes: - Over the past years, activities of sea, island propagation have contributed to improving gradually the awareness of all levels, sectors and people from all walks of life of the sea strategic positions. Therefore, “Improving the Performance of Disseminating Information about Sea and Islands in the Air of The Voice of Vietnam (through actual programs of VOV1 General News and Political System)” is selected by the author as subject matter for his Master’s Thesis with a view to contribute to the renovation and improving the performance of propagating with information about the sea, islands in the air of nationwide radio network in general and The Voice of Vietnam in particular. Based on the right assessment the position, importance of Vietnam’s sea and islands, of the tasks of developing Vietnam’s sea strategies, the right assessment of situations and provision of specified solutions in order to improve the performance of activities for disseminating information about the sea and islands over the mass media, on radio waves so far and in the upcoming years, for the general goal of the thesis, i.e. to find out solutions to improving the performance of disseminating information about the sea and islands on the waves of The Voice of Vietnam. - The subject matter touches upon the general journalistic theoretical basis in general and the theoretical basis of the radio newspaper genre, the forms being used for propagating about the sea and islands in the air of The Voice of Vietnam, delving into radio programs with the main contents of sea and island propagation; from that to assess correctly the real situation of the contents, form of presenting of programs, works, thus contributing to the performance of propagating about the sea, islands along with other forms of the mass media. 11. Possibility to Put into Practice: Application of the subject outcome will be an opportunity for those people directly involved in the making of contents at The Voice of Vietnam (editorial staff) to summarize, learn from experience in propagating about the sea and islands on the radio waves of The Voice of Vietnam in a more effective manner. 12. Subsequent Research Orientations: The subject matter also makes a suggestion for other colleagues working at local radio stations and other mass media agencies in the process of improving the contents, forms of propagating about the sea and islands so as to serve better the implementation of the Forth Central Resolution on Vietnam’s Sea Strategy until 2020.
