Luận văn đã tổng quan các công trình trong và ngoài nước về phát triển du lịch bền vững, trên cơ sở đó tác giả hệ thống hóa các vấn đề lý luận và thực tiễn về phát triển du lịch bền vững tại huyện Côn Đảo của tỉnh Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu. Bằng phương pháp quan sát, phỏng vấn sâu, bảng hỏi… và sử dụng các công cụ xử lý dữ liệu: SPSS, Excel…
Luận văn đã chỉ ra được những tác động tới phát triển du lịch bền vững tại huyện Côn Đảo, tỉnh Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu chịu 5 nhân tố: Tài nguyên tự nhiên; Tài nguyên văn hóa – xã hội (các sản phẩm truyền thống, cộng đồng dân cư địa phương…); Yếu tố lịch sử truyền thống; Cơ sở hạ tầng, ẩm thực, lưu trú; Các dịch vụ du lịch giải trí và mua sắm. Với các nhân tố này thì tài nguyên tự nhiên là nhân tố có tác động ảnh hưởng, có đóng góp mạnh nhất tới phát triển du lịch bền vững địa phương.
Luận văn cũng đã đề xuất, đưa ra các giải pháp và khuyến nghị nhằm nâng cao sự phát triển du lịch bền vững đối với huyện Côn Đảo, tỉnh Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu. Góp phần tích cực sự phát triển bền vững du lịch cho địa phương trong tương lai như: Nâng cao nhận thức, tăng cường năng lực cho những hộ kinh doanh sản xuất và cửa hàng phát triển sản phẩm lụa đa dạng, đạt chất lượng cao; Ban Quản lý Khu Du lịch Quốc gia Côn Đảo cần hỗ trợ các điểm dịch vụ bổ sung công cộng như chỗ để xe, đào tạo nâng cao trình độ ứng xử văn minh du lịch và thuyết minh viên địa phương chuyên nghiệp; Tuyên truyền vận động niêm yết giá, phân biệt rõ các mặt khác không phải thương hiệu Côn Đảo kinh
doanh tại chợ mua sắm vì mục đích kinh tế; Hỗ trợ doanh nghiệp về nguồn vốn, cơ chế chính sách, cơ sở vật chất kỹ thuật phục vụ du lịch bền vững; Gắn kết các bên liên quan trong phát triển du lịch, đẩy mạnh liên kết với các doanh nghiệp lữ hành. Tăng cường xúc tiến du lịch, tăng cường các tour tuyến du lịch biển đảo - bền vững - chuyên nghiệp.

The thesis has reviewed domestic and foreign works on sustainable tourism development, on that basis, the author systematizes theoretical and practical issues on sustainable tourism development in Con Dao district of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. By observing, in-depth interviews, questionnaires... and using data processing tools: SPSS, Excel...
The thesis has shown the impacts on sustainable tourism development in Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province subject to 5 factors: Natural resources; Socio- cultural resources (traditional products, local communities...); Traditional historical elements; Infrastructure, cuisine, accommodation; Shopping, entertainment and tourism services. With these factors, natural resources are the most influential factors, making the strongest contribution to local sustainable tourism development.
The thesis also proposed, gave solutions and recommendations to improve the sustainable tourism development for Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Contributing positively to the sustainable development of tourism for the locality in the future such as: Raising awareness and strengthening the capacity of business households and shops to develop diversified and high - quality silk products; The Management Board of Con Dao National Tourist Area needs to support additional public service points such as parking spaces, training to improve tourism civilized behavior and professional local narrators; Propaganda and campaign to list prices, clearly distinguishing other aspects that are not Con Dao brands doing business at shopping markets for economic purposes; Support enterprises in capital sources, mechanisms and policies, material and technical facilities for sustainable tourism; Connecting stakeholders in tourism development, promoting links with travel businesses. Strengthen tourism promotion, strengthen sea and island tours - sustainable - professional.
