The annual AEON 1% Scholarship is designed to support students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) in their academic endeavors, scientific research, and international exchanges.

This was the key topic discussed by scholars during the workshop titled “Groundbreaking Solutions in Talent Development, Utilization, and Recruitment for Rapid and Sustainable National Development,” held on the morning of November 26, 2024, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH).

The workshop was taken place on October 28, 2024 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH). The Faculty of Philosophy, VNU-USSH presided over the organization, attracting the attention and participation of a large number of scientists from Hanoi National University, universities in Vietnam and many international scholars (China, Thailand, France, Taiwan (China)) with nearly 70 scientific reports sent to attend.

On October 8, 2024, at a ceremony commemorating the 578th anniversary of the proclamation of the Hangeul script, hosted by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Dr. Luu Tuan Anh, Head of the Korean Studies Department (Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University), was honored with a Commendation from the President of South Korea.

(National Assembly Television) On September 30, 2024, Mr. Nick Clegg, President of Global Affairs at Meta, visited and worked at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, where he particularly emphasized the strategic role of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) in enhancing digital capabilities for students.

This information was confirmed by a representative of the Korea Foundation, South Korea, during a meeting with the leadership of VNU-USSH on the afternoon of August 12, 2024.

Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences in collaboration with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities -VNU (VNU-USSH); University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; University of Education - University of Danang will organize the first National History Conference with the theme: “Researching national and territorial sovereignty with a comprehensive approach to Vietnamese history”.

On May 2, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, issued Decision No. 2151/QĐ-XHNV concerning the Digital Competency Framework for students at the university.

On January 24, 2024, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dao Thanh Truong, Vice-Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had a meeting with the Delegation of the Institute of Marxism, Guangxi University, China - Represented by Associate Professor Dr. Luong Kien Tan - Deputy Director and members of the delegation.

On December 15th, 2023, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh – Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH), attended " The 5th Sino – Vietnam Presidents Forum of Universities in Red River Basin " in Yunnan Province, China, hosted by Yunnan University on a rotating basis. The prior success from the business trip of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping on December 12-13, 2023 has also fueled inspiration and motivation for this 5th Forum.

On December 15, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University (VNU-USSH) organized a training course to raise awareness and prevent mental health issues for students from Middle to High schools in Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province under the guidance of psychologist experts.
